Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest are located an easy 2.5 hour drive north of Sydney. 

 

Just follow the Pacific FREEWAY to the end, and then take the Pacific HIGHWAY all the way to the Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest turnoff—about 10 minutes north of Karuah. 

 

The turn-off is just north of the famous "Rock" Service Station (in the shape of Ayers Rock).  Hawks Nest is about 7mins from the Highway.

Vessels coming by way of Port Stephens need to be aware that the Singing Bridge presents a height clearance issue for sailing vessels. 

 

Deep draught vessels should be cautious of shallow patches in the Myall River.

 

A public wharf is available at Hawks Nest (suitable for shallow draft at high tide only) or at Tea Gardens (all tides).
