“A Festival Celebrating the Natural Environment of the Myall Coast”

 

A weekend of mostly outdoor activities making the most of the balmy spring weather and the stunning beauty of the wildflowers and waterways of the Myall.

 

The Hawks Nest Wildside Festival is a Community Event, a weekend of activities featuring guided walks through the  spectacular wildflowers and the natural environment surrounding the Hawks Nest Area……

Friday 11th September

¨ Golf on the Wildside Hawks Nest Golf Course from 8:00am for 8:30am start - $26 includes lunch

¨ Night Spotlighting Walk (1-1˝ Hours) Friday night led by Christian Patteson – Walk leaves from Hawks Nest Newsagency 7pm - FREE

 

Saturday 12th September

Displays in Community Hall Park -FREE

RFS fire engine, Myall Community Art and Craft, National Parks “hands on”, Lionesses: bric-a-brac, Wildflowers, Wildlife Rescue, GLC Water Catchment, Community Technology/Visitor Information Centre, kids play activities, face painting,

Kayaking

¨   Paddle on the Wildside with Lazy Paddles (9:00am) Anzac Park, Marine Drive, Tea Gardens.

Join us for a FREE 1 hr tour of the lower Myall River from Tea Gardens. Paddle through the mangroves and see the local wildlife up close.

Bring your own kayak or hire one from us ($15 single, $25 double). Everyone welcome, bookings essential. Call 0412 832 220.
